Movie Piracy

“Movie piracy is stealing” Yeah! That is how I am starting my blog today.

So where does this intention to watch a pirated movie arises for a commoner like us ? (I am not going to admit to it alone)
“I couldn’t catch up on the movie because I had my exam” (joke of the year! I know)
“Held up with work!”
“I’ll watch it next week maybe after the excitement and fandom has dropped down a tad bit”
“I am on a budget constraint and I can’t spend ₹120 on a bad movie!”
The list goes on and we have our reasons right? But at the back of our heads we do think that we can watch a pirated version and we shamelessly convince ourselves that it wasn’t our intention but we have our inevitable reasons. There are a separate category of people who think this is not even a mistake. Their words quoted “Everyone is watching movies online, it is not that big of a crime”.

Let us split this into two scenarios.

Scenario 1: What if piracy is completely banned and the laws have become super stringent and you do not find any online content?
For people who said that they had no time, I caught you there! I am pretty sure that we will plan our time accordingly and watch the movie, thus all the fake reasons mentioned above vanishes.

Scenario 2: What if this blog project of yours get stolen?
Irrelevant question? Wait up! Say for example this blog project of yours turns out to be a pretty amazing piece of article and your friend copies it? Wouldn’t you make sure that she sees the end of her life? What if it is an anonymous person? You would become helpless right? We belong to the tech-savvy generation. We know the amount of money, creativity, labour and what not goes into a movie? Our previous generation did not know they were doing such big of mistake but we do.

On a final note, a movie is meant to be watched in a theatre, why miss on that?
